A. Session Fees

​

Client agrees to pay the photographer a retainer of $100 at the time of booking to secure their appointment date and time. This is a non-refundable retainer that goes toward your session. The balance is due at or before the time of the session. Photographer will reach out the week of the session to confirm time and location details and give a balance reminder. The final product/images will not be delivered until the session has been paid for in full.

B. Location Costs & Fees

 

If there are any costs/fees associated with the location the client has chosen for their session, you, the client, will be responsible for those fees. The photographer will not guarantee or arrange payment on any location. Session fee covers travel within 40 minutes of the photographer's home in Fond du Lac, WI. Any location outside of this area may be subject to an additional charge - as discussed at time of consult.

C. Rescheduling

​

If an illness or situation prevents a photo session from taking place, client may reschedule their session at least 24 hours prior to their shoot without penalty. Should client fail to give 24 hours notice, or decide to completely cancel the shoot, this session fee is forfeited and retainer fee will not be refunded. Photographer reserves the right to reschedule due to illness, weather, equipment malfunction, or other circumstances beyond their control. *If you or someone in your party are feeling ill, please feel free to reschedule without penalty. If session has to be rescheduled more than twice, a new retainer fee will have to be paid. If the shoot is outdoors and has to be rescheduled due to weather (at the photographers discretion) there will be no fee/penalty.

D. Re-shoots / Refunds

​

Re-shoots are determined at the discretion of the photographer. Re-shoots and refunds will not be given for poor choices of clothing, make-up, hair or weather-related issues, or by not following the recommendations of the photographer.

E. Final Images & Product

​

Proof photos will be uploaded and shared with the client within 1 week after the shoot. Final images will be delivered within a week after selecting proofs. Clients are encouraged to download their digitals and save them to multiple locations as soon as possible. Images will remain on gallery link and available for download for 1 year, after which they will be archived. A fee may apply if the photographer is required to re-supply photos after 1 year.

F. Damage & Print Quality

​

Photographer is not responsible for the damage of portraits after delivery to client, including damage caused during transit by US mail. Client assumes all responsibility for the safety of all portraits upon receipt. Photographer does not guarantee quality of any print or product UNLESS product is purchased directly from Photographer’s lab. You are not required to purchase product through the Photographer’s lab, but please know quality is not guaranteed when using outside printing companies and labs.

G. Copyright Law

​

The copyright of photographs will remain with the Photographer. Under no circumstances is the client allowed to advertise the photos as images that they, themselves took or created. Sale, publication, alteration and modification or changing of the images in any way other than converting to black and white or cropping to print is NOT allowed without prior permission from the photographer. In the interest of respecting the photographer's hard work and dedication, it is requested images shared on social media and/or other places credit Sam Lauersdorf Photography as the photographer.

H. Model Release

​

The Clients grant the Photographer unlimited consent to use the photographs of the Client's session for editorial, advertisement, competitive and/or any other purpose, as well as permission to alter the photographs without restriction, and to copyright the images. The Clients hereby release the Photographer and its legal representatives from all liability and claims in connection with the images. In the event a minor is being photographed, the parent or guardian agrees on behalf of the minor. If the client has any specific wishes in regard to the model release, please mention at the time of booking.

I. Liability

​

The clients agree to hold the photographer and company, Sam Lauersdorf Photography LLC, harmless if any injury should occur during the shoot. Photographer is not responsible for client's injury. Client(s) will be responsible for their children and for themselves and release photographer from any claims against their person or their business.

Note from photographer: When sharing your images on social media or elsewhere please credit your photographer. (whether working with me or anyone else!) We work very hard to capture images that reflect you and your family, and to deliver the best possible experience.
